This week Star Wars Celebration in Chicago began. As far as I know Ahmed Best hasn't been on any panels yet, but we know he's in the city already because Janina Gavankar, who portrayed Iden Versio in Star Wars: Battlefront II, posted a video showing him hanging out at a party in her hotel room. 

Ahmed is scheduled to be on the Star Wars: Phantom Menace 20th Anniversary Celebration panel on Monday from 11:00AM - 12:00PM, and is also available for autographs today at 11:20am, Sunday at 3:30pm, and Monday at 1:30pm. Remember if you meet him, ask him his thoughts on ITLJJBD, and give me a call so I can join the conversation as well. Another piece of Jar Jar news which was making the rounds this week was that the Jar Jar Binks minifigure was the first Lego minifigure to get a unique Lego head sculpt back in 1999. I saw this in a few news articles but wasn't sure of the validity of the information since I'd never heard it before, and according to Brickipedia, a popular Lego Wiki, Jar Jar was ONE of the first figures to have a specially sculpted head mold along with C-3PO, but not necessarily THE first one. So I reached out to the Lego Group via their website and got confirmation that Jar Jar was indeed the first. Check out the great response they sent which even features a little Gungan speaking.
