National Read Across America Day with Jar Jar Binks

Today is National Read Across America Day. It’s a grand opportunity to read to kids, and an even grander opportunity to read Star Wars books to kids. 

They celebrated the holiday yesterday at my daughter’s school, and I brought in the book “Goodnight Darth Vader” by Jeffrey Brown to read to her class. It’d been a while since I read it and was surprised to see that Jar Jar makes an appearance.

 

Poor Jar Jar! In any case “Goodnight Darth Vader” and the other Star Wars books by Jeffrey Brown are funny and cute, and if you have the opportunity you should read them with the children in your life! Have fun!
