Portman of course played his mother Padm\u00e9 Amidala,\u00a0in the prequel trilogy.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet tw-align-center\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">FUN FACT: I&#8217;ve never met this woman. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/YYIFku1CVQ\">https:\/\/t.co\/YYIFku1CVQ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Mark Hamill (@HamillHimself) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HamillHimself\/status\/1005500469240725509?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 9, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>This lead to the following exchange, where\u00a0I\u00a0suggested that the &#8220;mother&#8221; that Leia claims to remember in Return of the Jedi was really Jar Jar Binks dressed up in a\u00a0Padm\u00e9\u00a0wig and dress:<\/p>\n<p class=\"centered\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"itljjbd_photo size-full wp-image-483\" src=\"https:\/\/talklikejarjarday.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/mark_hamill_jar_jar_mother.jpg\" alt=\"Mark Hamill says he's never met Natalie Portman\" width=\"629\" height=\"869\" srcset=\"https:\/\/talklikejarjarday.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/mark_hamill_jar_jar_mother.jpg 629w, https:\/\/talklikejarjarday.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/mark_hamill_jar_jar_mother-217x300.jpg 217w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 629px) 100vw, 629px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Twitter seemed to really like this idea of Jar Jar acting as Leia&#8217;s mother, since this comment was retweeted and liked more than any other thing that anybody has ever tweeted before. This prompted me\u00a0to ask if anyone wanted to take a crack at illustrating Jar Jar as\u00a0Padm\u00e9.
