This August 19th will be the fourth annual International Talk Like Jar Jar Binks Day and there's been a lot of Gungan speaking over the years, but one thing I've never heard of is anyone getting engaged on the holiday. I'm hoping this year we can change that.

And why not? You hear about people getting engaged on other holidays. People proposing on Christmas or Valentine's Day. Sometimes on Arbor Day. But there's no reason why International Talk Like Jar Jar Binks Day shouldn't become a popular day to get engaged as well. Lots of people love Star Wars. Lots of people love Jar Jar Binks, particularly those celebrating ITLJJBD. It just makes sense.

I'm even willing to help work with you to craft the perfect proposal speech. Here are just a few samples of things you could say:

"Mesa nosa can imagine spendin' da rest of mesa life witout yousa. Yousa da mostest bombad part of mesa life! Will yousa marry mesa?"

"Da day mesa met yousa was da most smilen day of mesa life! Ebbery day has been betto un betto dan da las cause-a yousa. Pleasa do mesa da honor of marrying mesa."

"Whena wesa apart mesa feel incomplete. Metinks of yousa ebberywhere mesa goen! Speeden inda doopeewee, ridin' onda bongo, shoppin' at da bombadmarket, while mesa at mesa jobbin. Will yousa marry mesa un stay wit my forebber?"

And those are just off the top of my head!

And let me tell you, if you want your proposal to go viral, I'd say there's no better way of guaranteeing that than proposing, in Gunganese, whilst wearing a Jar Jar Binks mask in the middle of a crowded restaurant. Just have one of your cloest palos take the video, and you'll be an Internet sensation!

Are you concerned that your potential husband or wife might not appreciate being proposed to by you if you're talking like Jar Jar Binks the whole time? Well I'm not one to give relationship advice, but if you think that your special someone will react poorly to such a proposal, I would like to say that perhaps this isn't the right person for you, and maybe it's time to find someone who isn't quite so lame.
